Abstract

IEEE Educational Activities has launched Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS)?a program that enables university and high school students to work on engineering-related projects for local humanitarian organizations. The purpose of this program is to empower Student Branches as well as IEEE Graduates of the Last Decade groups to work with high school students on community-related engineering projects. Through this worldwide expansion, IEEE Educational Activities hopes to build a mechanism to further institutionalize the program within the IEEE by sustaining and disseminating the EPICS model to IEEE Sections around the world.
