The Ideological Legacy of Nikolai Bukharin in Russian and Foreign Historiography: a Brief Overview

Abstract

The article is a brief overview of domestic and foreign works of various subjects and formats, the subject of attention in which were the ideas and works of N. I. Bukharin, a major philosopher, publicist, Soviet statesman, in various fields - in economics, party and state building, in Marxist theory, culture and art. The article examines works ranging from the earliest, created during Bukharin's lifetime, by his associates and opponents from among domestic and foreign political figures, philosophers, ideologists, and ending with scientific and journalistic works of our time. The article also highlights the main features of Soviet historiography of different periods in relation to the consideration of Bukharin's ideas in different fields.
