Abstract

In this catalogue are listed items of practical medical radiation information culled from departments of radiotherapy, medical physics and radiobiology throughout the world; the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna acts as a clearing centre for these data as part of its general commitment to disseminate information on radioisotopes and radiation sources, to assist its member states to acquire the knowledge necessary to their proper applications of radiation treatment. Originated by the Hospital Physicists' Association some 30 years ago as its “Diagrams and Data Scheme”, it was taken over by the Agency in 1963, and the latest catalogue, issued in 1970, contains some hundreds of individual items.
