Abstract

A method of obtaining the hypervirial theorem relations for matrix elements in the radial l = 0 case is presented. The importance of the rotational energy term has been demonstrated. The new relation between the diagonal and nondiagonal matrix elements is given. The triply degenerate three-dimensional harmonic oscillator and the hydrogen-like atom are considered as examples.
