Abstract
Hypertrophy of the ileo-cecal valve and ileal prolapse are not uncommon. The defects that these produce have been presented with their differential diagnostic features. A recognition of this entity with a familiarity of the radiological appearance will prevent unnecessary abdominal exploration.
