Abstract

In this chapter we present an overview of recent changes in the Hungarian educational system that occurred as a result of major political and economic transformations in the 1990s. We also describe the background to the Hungarian findings for the ten country study developed and implemented by the Consortium for Cross Cultural Research in Education (CCCRE).
