Abstract

The Hopf bifurcation usually appears during the congestion control of Internet network. Such effective control methods of treating the problem will be proposed. As an illustrative case study, a network with a single link accessed by a single source is considered. The gain variation as a critical parameter produces the Hopf bifurcation. As soon as instability occurs, the effective range of gain parameter, and therefore the system optimum performance is limited. In this paper, feedback linearization technique vanishes the Hopf bifurcation and increases the stability range of the network [model]. The quality of the proposed controller will also be shown significant especially when compared with time-delay feedback control (TDFC) approach as an alternative.
