Abstract
Writing about the formation of the New canon in the second century Von Harnack said that the Spirit was shut up in a book out of fear of Montanism. When one speak of the Spirit in the New Testament one must realize that the entire New is a book of the Holy Spirit. From Mt. i, the birth of Jesus (vs. 20), to Rev. xxii I7, where the Spirit and the Bride call for the coming of the Lord, everything testifies to the Holy Spirit. The work and the words of Jesus Christ and the apostles are imbued with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the hidden link, the life artery of New testimony and community. The Spirit can only be understood within the context of the New Covenant. Keywords: canon; Holy Spirit; Jesus Christ; New Covenant; New
