Abstract
This article provides an overview of the origin and history of the Trans-Tasman Midwifery Education Consortium (TTMEC) that consists of midwifery academics across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The article will cover the consortium’s aim, vision, work, current research projects, future directions and conferences past and planned. The TTMEC includes representatives from 27 member organisations who meet every month to address and discuss key issues and aspects of midwifery education. I am writing this article as the former chair of this consortium, a role I held from March 2021 to March 2022. My co-chair was Andrea Gilkison from Aotearoa New Zealand.
