Abstract

This year represents the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first economics honor society at the University of Wisconsin. This society, along with one founded at Harvard that same year merged in 1915 creating the National Order of Artus. In 1955, another economic honor society, Omicron Chi Epsilon, was founded at the City College of New York. In 1963, Artus and Omicron Chi Epsilon merged to become Omicron Delta Epsilon. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of Omicron Delta Epsilon. This is their story.
