Abstract
The article considers the work of the 30-th Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF): innovations, events, programs, etc. There are described the results of the competitions “Book of the Year” and “Best Professional Book of the Year”. Special attention is given to the coverage of major events and professional events, primarily relevant to the library community and reflected in the speeches at the conferences, seminars and round tables. There are summarized the major ideas and discussion opinions of specialists in the book publishing industry and library sector about the trends and development problems. The attention is focused on several issues related to the legislation: the development, analysis, reviewing, and the practice of implementation of laws and regulations. Separate paragraph deseribes the role of the Russian State Library in the events of the 30th MIBF.
