THE HISTORIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW OF THE WORKS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIAN PAINTING IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY

Abstract

Most often, Russian painting of the second half of the 18th century is considered in works on art only in the context of the general process of development of Russian art. Most of them conscientiously cover the development of Russian painting in the second half of the 18th century. The material on this topic is concentrated either in multi-volume publications, or in journal articles, or in separate books that tell about the life and work of a particular artist.
