The Hidden Meaning of Russian Folk Songs on the Example of: “Steppe and Steppe all Around”, “The Raven to the Raven Flies”, “In the Evening to me, a Nightingale Flew in”

Abstract

this article deals with the author’s discovery of previously unknown meanings, it would seem, to all known songs, the essence of which, oddly enough, is still not completely open. The author’s version of the song concepts is put forward based on the study of the key words of the text and the identification of figurative and artistic meaning. Some ways of transferring textual content during the performance of these songs are proposed. An attempt is made to determine the deep meanings that can awaken a wave of interest in searching for new ideas in famous works of the past and finding adequate expressive means of performing interpretation.
