Abstract
HERA-B is located at DESY, Germany. The HERA-B hardware trigger aims to find J/ψ's within 12 μs . The trigger performs fast online track reconstruction, determines particle momenta, and calculates the invariant mass of track pairs. An overview of the hardware trigger and a review of the status as of fall 1999 is given.
