Abstract

AbstractThe heat of combustion of benzoic acid NBS standard sample 39i supplied by the National Bureau of Standards (Washington) was measured. The mean value under standard bomb conditions was found to be:26431.9 ± 1.6 J per gram.Measures leading to a high precision are given. Systematic errors were studied.
