Abstract
Current guidelines in the United States recommend early introduction of peanut using a screening approach pending the child's history of eczema or egg allergy.1,2 Unfortunately, implementation of the guidelines has proven to be challenging.3-6 Given this, a consensus statement in North America suggested simply introducing peanut in the diet of all infants using a shared decision-making approach.7 Unfortunately, there is little known about whether parents are receiving education and whether this affects early introduction.
