Abstract
The article is a description of current meteor research by the Harvard Observatory, using the new Baker-Super-Schmidt meteor cameras (aperture 12 in., focal length 8 in.) in New Mexico. The research involves the improvement of basic meteor theory, the determination of winds and other characteristics of the upper atmosphere, and the basic problems of the nature and origin of meteoritic material in the solar system.
