Abstract

The practitioner should know the general signs of peripheral hand palsies, to be able to request a subject-specific diagnostic procedures if necessary. Distinguishable are plus symptoms of peripheral palsies with motor and sensory irritations as well as minus symptoms with motor, sensory and vegetative deficits. The symptoms of peripheral palsies of the three great plexus brachialis nerves, which innervate the hand, are presented in detail and illustrated. Causes of damage describe and possible therapies are entered. Manifestations of the thoracic outlet syndrome and the causalgia in the hand are presented.
