Abstract

The proposed explanation of the positive Hall coefficient of amorphous ZrTL alloys (TL = Co, Ni and Cu) in terms of spin-orbit interaction has been extended to other disordered alloys containing early transition metals (TE) and rare earths. The systems analyzed include liquid CeCu alloys, amorphous TaNi and LaGa alloys and ternary alloys based on TETL with normal metal or TL additions. All the observations are consistent with the earlier proposition.
