Abstract
The hafnium to zirconium abundance ratio and the specific radioactivity of some ores from different continents were measured spectroscopically and by Geiger counter respectively. hevesys postulation of a relationship between the radioactivity and hafnium content of zircons and the possibility of the abundance ratio serving as a geological indicator are discussed.
