Abstract

Mouse neuroblastoma cells have been grown in orientated arrays on fine lines of silicon monoxide evaporated onto plastic Petri dishes. The axon-like processes produced by these cells on attachment to this surface have also been found to grow along the silicon monoxide lines, giving chains of neuroblastoma cells connected by processes.
