Abstract

The SciencesVolume 7, Issue 6-7 p. 7-10 The growth and future of biochemistry SEVERO OCHOA, SEVERO OCHOA Dr. Severo Ochoa, a native of Spain, who in 1959 divided the Nobel Prize in physiology and medicine with Dr. Arthur Kornberg, elucidated the mechanism of biologic synthesis of RNA. He received his M.D. degree with honors from the University of Madrid in 7929 where he later taught in the Medical School.
