Abstract

The short-time Green function Monte Carlo method is used to calculate the ground-state energy of the three-body system consisting of two electrons bound to a positron. An extrapolation method is used to correct for the short-time approximation, and leads to an estimate for the ground-state energy of -0.2619+or-0.0002 au.
