Abstract
The most general ground-state solutions of the second-order conformally covariant spin-2 wave equations are obtained. The spin-2 field is represented by the symmetric rank-two tensor of the conformal group. The authors find that none of the ground-state solutions belong to a unitary irreducible representation of the conformal group.
