Abstract

The article discusses the use of 3-D printing to create decoy flowers designed to attract the invasive weevil species Larinus planus. Scientists at the Chicago Botanic Garden have placed 60 of the decoy flowers in the sand dune's of Wisconsin's Door County peninsula. The decoys are also treated with lemon and wintergreen scents to help attract the weevils.
