Abstract

By calculating the grand partition function it is shown that all calculations within the uncorrelated jet model can be performed analytically. The general case, where the one-particle distribution function depends on the transverse momentum as well as on the scaling variable, is treated. As the momentum sum rules are identically obeyed in this model this can be of use in exploring the contents of these sum rules. As an example the inclusive n-particle distribution functions are calculated. Also the effects of meson production on the elastic scattering via the unitarity relation is discussed.
