Abstract

This article deals with the problem of raising the retirement age in a number of developed European countries. The author has analyzed the demographic burden on the population of Austria, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Denmark, examined the existing rules on the retirement age in the mentioned countries, and marked changes in the retirement age.
