The Global Refugee Crisis: International Situations and Measures

Abstract

Today refugee and displaced persons are most complicated and prominent issues of every country. United Nation and other agencies are trying to solve and searching effective way to protect and assist these vulnerable groups. The Article-14 of the Universal Declaration of human rights, states that “Everyone has the right to seek and enjoy asylum from persecution in other countries.” In spite of that Universal Declaration of human rights many laws and conventions have been made at international level to protect the rights of refugees as: United Nation Refugee Convention, 1951 and its 1967 Protocol, Migrant Workers Convention 1990 and many others instruments. But the position of refugees and displaced persons in every country is not very good. They have to struggle a lot for the fulfillment of human rights and necessities of daily life and also have to depend on the mercy of the local government. The main aim of current research paper is to make awareness and give information to public about refugee’s worldwide position, problems and their human rights. The present research article is based on secondary data.
