NAVIGATIONVolume 1, Issue 6 p. 138-141 THE GERMAN GYRO-SEXTANT Mary R. Hunt, Mary R. Hunt Miss Hunt is a member of the Personnel Department at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She has had a variety of experience in the fields of astronomy and of collegiate administrative work, having combined these interests prior to entering the Navy in 1943. Since her graduation from Mount Holyoke College in 1936, she has been on the staffs of the Harvard College Observatory and the Ladd Observatory of Brown University, and has done graduate work in astronomy at Radcliffe and at Mount Holyoke, where she received her A.M. in 1942. Her work in the Bureau of Ships as a Lieutenant (j.g.), W(E), was concerned with the design of sextants, stadimeters, and miscellaneous plotting equipment.
