Abstract
The Kizildere geothermal field, born in May 1968 with the blow-out of drillhole KD I, is still in its initial phase of study and development. The data and the interpretations exposed in this paper have therefore to be considered as preliminary and subject to completion and improvement. In the first part, the paper also describes the principles and methods which have guided the hydrogeochemical study of the area.
