The description of C. longiseta, Chone sp., and illustrated re‐descriptions of some common Mediterranean species are also reported. The Mediterranean species belonging to the genus Chone up to now recorded are: C. acustica (Claparede), C. arenicola Langerhans (new for Mediterranea fauna) C. collaris Langerhans, C. duneri Malmgren, C. filicaudata Southern, Chone sp., and C. longiseta n.sp. Another Mediterranean taxon remain for the moment undescribed, until more good material will be available.
