Abstract

New finds of Heilungia Prynada are described from the Turonian-Coniacian volcanogenic sediments of the Chaun Series (central Chukchi Peninsula) and Kananyga Formation (northern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk) of Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt. The accomplished revision of newly described and earlier described species of cycadophytes with marginal fan-shaped venation has resulted in the union of the genera Heilungia and Butefia. The occurrence of members of Heilungia is traced in the Cretaceous deposits of the Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt.
