Abstract

Most of rice cultivation areas in Russia are characterized by unfavorable soil conditions: salinity of varying degrees and types, alkalinization, and lack of mineral nutrition elements. Furthermore, in the Kuban, in one of the northernmost rice-growing regions, during the vegetation period of rice both high, above 40°C, and low, down to 0°C, temperatures have been noted. Consequently, the increase in crop production is less related to the increase in potential productivity but more related to the stability of the harvest and the complex resistance to stress. This paper presents data on the polymorphism and molecular marking of the traits that determine adaptability to various abiotic stresses.
