Abstract

The symmetric trivalent graph with 48 vertices has a group of automorphisms of order 288 with the presentation δ 2 = σ 3 = ( δϱ) 2 = ( δσZ) 2 = ( σϱ) 2 = 1, ϱ 4⇄ ϱ. The three involuntary R 1 = σϱ, = α −1, R 3 = ϱσ generate one subgroup of order 48, while T 1 = δϱ, T 2 = σ −1 ϱδσ, T 3 = ϱδ generate another. In either case the generators can be represented as colored of the graph.
