Abstract

AbstractTo assess the effectiveness and efficiency of combine harvesting of grain crops, it is necessary to measure a significant number of the indicators. The values of such indicators are formed during the implementation of the processes associated with combine harvesting and depend on the state of these processes and environmental factors. To solve the problems of increasing the efficiency and performance of the combine harvesting processes, it is essential to monitor the processes that ensure the formation of these indicators and carry out their systematic measurement. To implement monitoring and measurement of the performance and efficiency indicators for the mechanized harvesting of grain crops, it is necessary to determine the appearance stages of these indicators, and to allocate their place in the structure of the implemented processes, as well as to determine the resources necessary for monitoring both measurement and the registration form of the results. The IDEF0 functional modeling methodology is a convenient tool for presenting the processes that ensure the formation of the values of the performance and efficiency indicators of mechanized harvesting. The paper proposes a typical model of mechanized harvesting of grain crops, built in the IDEF0 notation, from the point of view of measuring the performance and efficiency indicators of this process.KeywordsIDEF0 notationMechanized harvestingMonitoring and measurementPerformance and efficiency
