Abstract

The generalized Faber expansion, as compared with the ordinary one, has a less developed theory, and only recently it has been shown that it comprises the ultraspherical expansions a special case [14]. In this paper, a representation for the generalized Faber operator is established, s ufficient conditions for its boundedness are studied and a result of Kovari and Pommerenke on uniform convergence of Faber series is extended to the case of generalized Faber series, improving a criterion of Suetin.
