Abstract

The object of the study is an analysis of the gender basis of domestic violence on a sociological basis. The article, taking the problem of domestic violence as an object of analysis, examines the nature of intergender violence in the modern family and innovations in the direction of prevention. It is noted that violence of various forms can lead to dangerous consequences in the household, and therefore the interest of society in solving this problem is constantly increasing. Purpose –The goal is to consider the categorical basis of domestic violence and characterize its impact on gender-family relations. Methodology. The content, essence and forms of domestic violence are studied by methods of comparative analysis, synthesis and interpretation. Findings of the study – Gender-based domestic violence includes inequality and violence against women and girls at all stages of life. At the same time, children, the elderly and the disabled, who are considered the most vulnerable categories, b xfcnj are subjected to domestic violence. Domestic violence manifests itself in both vertical (parent-child) and horizontal (marital, sibling) forms.
