Abstract
AbstractThe condensed‐phase Baker Venkataraman rearrangement is an irreversible reaction, e.g. o‐(−CH2CO)C6H4OCOPh → o‐(−O)C6H4COCH2COPh. The collision‐induced mass spectra of these two ions show the corresponding gas‐phase reaction to be reversible.
