Abstract

Police officers are quick to criticise Parliament for unenforceable legislation, almost invariably drafted without reference to those who have to implement it. Here, an experienced police officer tries his hand as a parliamentary draftsman and whilst appreciating his own limitations, particularly in not having the library resources available, offers his efforts for adoption as a private member's bill.
