Abstract

The pandemic situation created by COVID-19 around the world made the professionals to immediately switch to work from home (WFH) pattern. With no other option in hand, WFH worked wonders for keeping the business running. Eventually, as the situation became better, certain companies started calling back their employees to office. This study focuses on understanding the future of the WFH pattern once the COVID-19 situation is completely over. Research problem of the study focuses on how smoothly companies managed work from home pattern during COVID-19 and how would it affect the possibilities of its continuation post COVID-19. Based on the literature study, a proposed model is designed which highlights key changes for effective implementation of WFH viz. Updated HR Policies, Work Space Arrangement, Employee Tracking System, Leadership Development, and Realistic Target and Deadline. It also highlights the future benefits of WFH viz. Cost Control, Business Enhancement, Retention, Employee Happiness and Future workforce Readiness.
