Abstract
This is an edited and abbreviated transcript of a roundtable discussion in honor of the Centennial of the U.S. Geological Survey, held at the Twelfth Annual Meeting of the American Association of Stratigraphic Palynologists, November 2, 1979, in Dallas, Texas. The purpose of the panelists was to present ideas about the course of palynology during the next five to twenty years, what sorts of problems we may have and what some of the scientific and practical needs are that palynology may be able to satisfy in the rest of this century.
