Abstract
From the substantiation that, when compared to other activation processes, piezoactivation is hardly used as an organic synthetic strategy, the merits of the high pressure methodology are emphasized: synthesis of thermal fragile molecules, synthesis of molecules sensitive to Lewis acid catalysts, synthesis of strained or bulky structures, enhancement of chemo-and stereoselectivity, asymmetric induction.
