Abstract

Cloud Computing is of substantial interest among IT and network technologists and academics, as well as CIOs and business leaders, due to its proven potential to reduce cost and risk, increase revenue, and enhance total customer experience. here are many definitions of "Cloud Computing." According to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) [2], one definition is: "Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction." Specifically, five characteristics that NIST specifies are on-demand self-service, broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured ser vice.
