Abstract
At the end of last year, the Soviet poet Anna Andreevna Akhmatova was awarded Italy's Etna Taormino Prize. Almost simultaneously, newspapers carried the information that she had been made a doctor of philology by Oxford University. After her return from Rome, Evgenii Osetrov had a conversation with her. Below are some notes on that interview.
