Abstract

During the 1980s and early 1990s, two of the most prevalent and exciting technological and business trends were development and introduction of a wide variety of innovative home electronics products and explosive growth of new digital computer technologies and product offerings. During the remainder of this decade and in the 21st century, a third more powerful and significant trend will emerge and predominate: the fusion of home electronics with digital computer and communications technologies. >
