Abstract

Invasive fungal infection has emerged as a major threat to immunocompromised hosts’Hosts defence against fungi depends on intact innate and adaptive immune respones.Spleen tyrosine kinase ( Syk) is a non-receptor type of protein tyrosine kinase. The role of Syk in ac tivation of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells and phagocytosis in neutrophils and macrophages has been demonstrated.Currently, studies demonstrated that Syk also plays an important role in antifungal immune respones. Many pattern recognition receptors ( PRRs) including CLRs,TLRs,and CR3 can bind fungi. Syk directly or indirectly couples to these PRRs and functions in antifungal immunity induced by different PRRs. Key words: Spleen tyrosine kinase; Fungi; Pattern recognition receptor
