Both groups had significant stenosis (greater than 90%) of one coronary artery with less than 50% stenosis of remaining vessels. A slightly but insignificantly (P< 0.2) higher prevalence of normal resting electrocardiograms occurred in the collaterals group (22 of 61 patients) compared with those without collaterals (16 of 58 patients).
