Abstract

We propose a model for the framework topology of the novel zeolite EU-1. This is based on electron diffraction, model building, subsequent DLS refinement, and a limited Rietveld refinement of the X-ray powder diffraction data. The ideal framework symmetry is Cmma with measured lattice parameters a = 13.695(1), b = 22.326(1), and c = 20.178(A) A. The unidimensional, 10-ring channel system lies in the [100] direction and has deep side pockets off the channels.
