Abstract

The article summarizes 9 logical thinking types of architectural design from discussing the complex connotations and two realms of inquiry of contemporary architecture. Then the relevancy analysis on the relationship between the logical thinking types and the building types was made. Finally, it explored how the logical thinking types could be applied in the design, teaching and assessment work. The study teases out a logical, correspondence and systematic thinking system for the design and teaching practice, so that the complicated architectural design is expected to be logical and rule-based.
