Abstract

The article analyses the process of reforms and development of higher education from the foundation of the PRC in 1949 to the beginning of XXI century. The paper discusses historical character and revolution in the management of higher education, including the methods of assessment of work of Chinese universities, proves the necessities of foundation and development of assessment system of activities of universities in China.
